Makes talking in the car a joy
I purchased this unit over a year ago to go with the radio I purchased, which included the blue tooth phone, but not the adapter necessary to use the feature. The unit plugged into the radio with ease, and functions perfectly. You may have to move it around on the dash until you find the perfect spot for reception. I do get complaints now and then that I need to speak up. I believe this is due to the mic's sensitivity which tends to pick up ambient noise from the car. All in all I love it, and would never go back to holding the phone, or using the bluetooth stuck in my ear.

The Cable is way too short.
I bought the unit to add bluetooth to my car stereo. the unit shows up and only has a 6 foot cable on it. Great if you want the cable dangling across the windshield, junk if you want to actually install the unit in the car with no wires showing.

Running the wires properly will place the unit right next to the drivers side window by the dashboard. Perfect if all you want to let your caller hear is road noise, bad if you want them to actually hear you.

The cable needs to be an additional 6 feet longer to install it in anything but a tiny clown car. DO NOT BUY THIS if you want to actually install it where it belongs, on the visor.

Works great!
I purchased this shortly after purchasing the accompanying stereo kit. With the bluetooth add-on my stereo is complete! This thing works great and for is a great deal! People hear me clearly and I hear them clearly. No one ever complains about background noise. No more fumbling around to get my phone out of my pocket while driving! You can set the stereo to automatically answer or simply press the call button to pick up. I also love that the stereo pauses whatever's playing when a call comes in and then resumes when it's over. If there's one minor complaint it's that you hold the mute button (as others have mentioned) to end a call and this is a slightly clunky process. Oh, and one more tip, the range on this thing is impressive. I once started my car in the garage and then went back inside my house to pick something up. When I tried calling someone, I could see my phone was ringing but there was no sound. I was puzzled for a second until I realized the call had gone to my car...whoops!

If you own the dual stereo system I recommend plopping down the extra dough to purchase this add-on. You won't be disappointed!

never again
The seller was great, the product was horrible (defective) to be short, dual customer support is the worst ever. I have now had 5 of thier products and without exception, all of them were defective, from radios to cd players to this bluetooth device. I will not recommend this manufacturer to anyone, nor will I ever knowingly purchase anything else from this manufacturer. Again, the seller from amazon was great.

Overall its great . Works as advertised , my only annoyance is when you turn the radio off it disconnects from your phone . FYI The microphone needs to be mounted on the ceiling , otherwise the microphone will not pick your voice up .

Dumb name...Great product!
This Bluetooth car speaker replaced my previous one, a Blue Ant Lite. This guy is so superior it's hard to compare....but I will. The biggest change is the automatic sensing of a paired phone. In the Lite, it was necessary to manually turn off, then back on the unit for it to sense a paired phone. Not with this one. Just move the phone into range of the speaker and the BlueAnt 3 automatically senses and connects to it. A GREAT feature. Also the quality of the sound from the 3 is far superior to the Lite. Finally I have not experieced any of the echo problems that were present on the Lite.
In short the 3 is a great looking, super performing BlueTooth speaker for your car. Spend the extra bucks. You won't be sorry.

Everything and more
I certainly had my reservations about this unit. I have always used the Bluetooth ear pieces previously. The initial setup was a little tricky for me but I found the english speaking operator after a few attempts and the rest of the setup was a breeze. It works outstanding in my vehicle - even attached to the passenger side visor. The first thing I hear when entering my car is my english operator locating the cell phone.
I am very pleased with the BlueAnt supertooth 3 and would strongly recommend it to anyone wanting to go hands-free.

BlueAnt Supertooth 3
So far so good. A few problems with downloading contacts, part operator error and Bluetooth 3 directions (which I found out is the most commonly called about problem). Haven't had it long enough to really give it a good evaluation. Makes me wonder why Amazon hits you up for a review so soon.

A good item, but hindrances in the design may make you look elsewhere...
As with most places, the cellphone laws are beginning to be implemented, not just in the United States, but in other Countries as well. Blueant did a pretty good job with the Supertooth 3, despite its shortcomings...

Firstly, it is a good looking system... gloss piano black with simple buttons and a magnetic clip for your car's visor. The size is comparable to the original iphone when it first came out but not the same weight of course. The multi language setup is a plus (recommend the british language as it is best sounding) and pairing with a Sony Ericsson test phone was pretty fast... uploading the contact list from the phone in less than 3 minutes. On a call it would say the person's name or is it's not in your list, the full number. Speaker quality is good although it tends to be drowned out by cars with heavy exhausts and the windows down. You also have the option of voice answering or manually pressing the buttons...

Now in that light there are some bad news... some people carry more than one phone for use and while Blueant states that it can be paird with up to 8 phones, you can only use one at a time... so if you use 2 phones, this one isn't for you. There were issues to pair Nokia phones with the symbian software. The 6120 classic which we tested would not allow the contacts to auto upload to the supertooth 3 and we had to manually do so. Also we found that incoming calls from the Nokia were not listed on the Supertooth's system and you had to manually press the phone's button instead of the speakerphone to answer. Dual sim phones also had a slight problem as well.

Call Quality was up and down, but more good than bad. People sometimes said you would "echo" as if you had an earpiece headset and again depenting on the road noise and the drone of heavy exhausts, the mic may get drowned out. Windows up though it was quite sufficient and to a point even clearer than the newer S4 that supports multipont. The buttons also were a little hard to press while driving and you had to hold it a while to shut it off.

But don't let these things deter you from buying this speakerphone. It is a good system if you have one phone and unless we were doing something wrong to pair them, we recommend not using this with nokia symbian software phones. Also if you have a sports car or any vehicle that is loud bear in mind that your noise may drown out your quality. Overall good product for the price.

Wired headset by plantronics is better
The device for the purposes handsfree communications fails badly in terms of clarity of voice call to the other party, a better option is a standard bluetooth earset. Cannot stream voice from laptop, no battery remaining time indicator. A graphic display and soft touch menu buttons would have been worth the price, but lacks that. No way to reset bluetooth security for pairing devices.

it fragile
I have had this product now for over 9 months. As a matter of fact i own 2. the sound and clarity are fine even when walking around in noisy areas. The problem i have had with both is the ear piece. For one of them the ear piece post has broken off and with the second one the rubber gel on the earpiece has started separating from the post. Blue Ant wants to charge for two replacement ear gels. That is ludicrous i can by a new blue tooth for .

Love my Ant!
I've used my BluAnt for almost a year now and I still love it! I wanted a small bluetooth that would fit securely in-ear without using the ear hook. I did a ton of research looking for fit, sound quality, size, comfort, etc., and this one fits the bill. The Ant paired up easily with my iPhone 3G, has excellent noise cancellation, great volume, and has lasted. I work in a loud environment and this little guy keeps right up. I can hear it ring, I can hear a caller, and they can hear me. Most people say they can't tell I'm on a bluetooth. It's been dropped, kicked, and sat on, and it still works perfectly. I have a usb port on my car charger that I use to charge my BluAnt. That's where it stays when it's not in my ear. It's so comfortable that I find myself checking to make sure it's still there. That's right, no more sore ear after 8 hours of use. It's so small that people sometimes think I'm talking to myself. Battery life and talk time are incredible. Overall, I couldn't be happier with the BluAnt Z9i.

BlueAnt z9i
Great earpiece. Exceptional sound quality and talk time. Does not fade out background noise as advertised but I was aware of that from a previous purchase. For some reason, this earpiece does not hang up my calls. When pressed to hang up a call, I get a recording which says something about voice isolation message one. So I always have to use my phone to end a call. This is somewhat of an inconvenience especially when the other party doesn't hang up first and my phone isn't readily assessible. Overall, I still like the device and yes, will purchase it again.

A Must Have
Up front I must say that this was my first bluetooth headset and I was a little skeptical about the prospect of how well it may or may not work. I got it mainly for my commute to and from work and I must say that `I love it'
The unit is very light and once you get used wearing it you forget that it's there until someone points it out. The noise cancellation and voice isolation provides for a clear connection and it just w-o-r-k-s period! There are a lot of `high dollar' headsets out there but I don't see how they could be any better.

- Battery life is great
- Range is as advertised, maybe a little better depending on your environment

I use this with my HTC Touch Pro 2 (a windows mobile device) and connectivity between the two has been flawless.

Although I really like this headset it's not without its flaws.

Issue #1 has been with the customer service. So, here is the deal. Something happened to the device, stopped working, wouldn't even power on (I was very sad). I contacted customer support to get a replacement and really got the run around. Not something I like when talking to support because I put high value on the way I am treated as a customer. To make a long story short it took a week and a half to get an RMA.

Issue #2 is that the headset that they returned to me was not a Z9i but rather a V1. Here is my dilemma now; do I try to return it for a Z9i OR just continue using it? The V1 talks to you a lot more (which can be turned off) but my wife tells me that the clarity is even better and to be honest it feels better than the Z9i... such mixed emotions on this one. I'll update the post later with my decision.

Regardless, hands free is the way to go when you are on the road. Your family will appreciate it.

I hate giving one star review
I try never to give a one star review, since when I see them, I assume the person received a defect, they had a bad experience with the company, whatever. However in this case, it's a one star for product performance. This bluetooth sound quality is poor, people sound far-away no matter what I do. If I turn up the volume, it distorts the sound. When I talk, people are always saying it sounds like I am talking into a speaker phone and ask me to switch. Both ear pieces fit poorly and I am always trying to shove the ear piece deeper into my ear to hear better. Also, the buttons are so small that I am always hitting the off button and disconnecting and I do not have large fingers. I have actually stopped using it and I am using my blackberry as a speaker phone - it actually sounds clearer for both sides. I will continue to search for a good bluetooth.

Great Headset
This is the perfect headset for my needs. The sound quality is superb and the battery life is excellent. I have used many bluetooth headsets and stereo headsets. This is the smallest easiest and best looking stereo bluetooth I have ever used.

Awesome for the money!
Earbuds are comfortable, sound quality is great and range is awesome! Call quality is ok when in an office environment. It suffers to cut out background noise in warehouses and cars with A/C blowing on high. I use them almost every day and they last all day. Key here is they were after rebate, cannot beat that!!

Good but Plantronics much better
for 9.99$ this is an excellent first use headset. Battery life is decent, I like it because i can use it listen to music, but thats it. I got a Plantronics Discovery 925 and turns out I fell for it. I hardly touch this now. I realized after using Plantronics that this one hurts my ears, plus it tends to fall out of your ear, but the plantronic one doesnt. The last problem is a lower volume than plantronics.
But as I said, if you don't have money to buy a costly plantronics, this is a god started, if u get it in 10-15 bucks.

It's OK
For it is ok, there are no controls for MP3 on this device,so when I want to pause/play/ffwd I have to use the phone itself, and the earphones are too big and won't stay in my ears while listening to music.
On the good side, the build quality seems really good and it pairs easy enough.
